I have tried several ways to add water, from adding it without its internal dividing basket to adding water very little by little with too much care with the basket placed on the edges and small holes, but there is a manufacturing error in this item. The lid is not screwable and stays attached with very little force, and the water causes the lid to slip or open due to the pressure exerted by the water, and the ice does not form evenly. If the lid had a thread to screw it on and close the bucket, everything would have been perfect, making it a very unrecommendable item to buy.
